Academics & Careers

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, academic programs focus on more than just reading, science, and problem solving; they give kids a space to explore, experiment, and expand on the lessons learned during the school day. We provide access to educationally enriching activities in every area of the Club – from the art room, to the gym, to the tech lab.

After school and in the summer, Club members get the support they need to keep learning all year long through programs intentionally designed to foster skill building and spark passion for learning.

Join the Club and take advantage of academic enrichment today!

Program Highlights

LITERACY

Literacy programs Accelerated Reader (AR) and MyON encourage kids to read regularly, widely, and all year long. Kids track their progress and are rewarded for their participation. These programs allow them to read at their reading level and make regular progression toward their literacy goals.

STEAM

Kids get daily, hands-on experiences with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math at Club Technology Centers. STEAM programming promotes workforce readiness, connects kids with technology, and supports academic performance. From robotics to coding to digital arts Club kids know how to use the tools that the future demands.

POWER HOUR

Each day after school our Education Specialists and Club staff provide homework support to members. Club kids have a dedicated space to finish their homework, building responsibility and accountability.

At their Club, kids also explore career pathways, participate in leadership programs, and build healthy habits.
