We are delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our Athletic Specialist, Gerber Hernandez! Gerber has been a team member at our Boston Boys & Girls Club since January 2023.
Gerber joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver after spending many years in the construction industry. During this time, Gerber did not imagine himself working with kids, but an undiscovered passion led him to explore a new direction. Upon joining Boston Boys & Girls Club, Gerber quickly embraced his new role, creating meaningful relationships with members. Gerber shared, he enjoys spending time with Club members in the gym, teaching them new skills that often lead them to join soccer or flag football teams.
As an Athletic Specialist, Gerber plays a crucial role in creating opportunities for young individuals to engage in sports, learn new skills, and build confidence. Every day, he demonstrates commitment to fostering a positive environment for kids, both on and off the field.
