Owen Boys & Girls Club in Southwest Denver to Open New STEM Lab

DENVER – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver will hold an opening ceremony for the newly renovated STEM lab and technology center at the Owen Boys & Girls Club in southwest Denver on Thursday, Aug. 22. The renovations were made possible thanks to a grant provided by Major League Baseball and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The opening ceremony will feature Dick Monfort, Colorado Rockies Owner, Chairman and CEO. The updated space will feature new computers, a vinyl cutter and a 3D printer, ensuring teens and kids have access to learn with the latest technology.

What:         Thanks to a renovation grant provided by Major League Baseball and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Owen Boys & Girls Club will hold an opening ceremony for the new STEM lab and technology center.

Why:           Major League Baseball has provided baseball field and facility renovations to Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. MLB support has given more than 20,000 Boys & Girls Club members the opportunity to experience state-of-the-art facilities that will help them build great futures. The Owen Boys & Girls Club was been select for this renovation program, made possible by a long-standing partnership with the Colorado Rockies, who are the Club’s official sponsor.
