Seventeen year-old Club member Isiah believes that the Boys & Girls Club has molded him into the person he is today – a highly motivated social butterfly with big dreams for the future. Not only has Isiah relied on the scholarship opportunities offered by the Clubs, but Isiah has also been employed as a Junior Staff member at the Boys & Girls Club for more than a year. When kids tell Isiah that they want to be like him, he knows he is making a difference in the lives of younger Club members.
Isiah plans to have a future with the Clubs. He aspires to attend Johnson & Wales University to become a chef. He plans on working at the Boys & Girls Club part-time throughout culinary school and hopes that one day he will be able to be involved in the Club’s healthy cooking program. Isiah credits the Club for helping him realize his potential and wants to be able to help shape the futures for generations of Boys & Girls Club kids for years to come.
“My future looks bright because I have so many people around me helping me achieve my hopes and dreams,” mentioned Isiah. “Now I get to help kids like me dream big.”
