Spark & Spoon Family Cookbook Celebrates Cultural Heritage Through Food While Supporting Essential Nutrition Programs for Kids<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

DENVER, CO \u2013 April 11, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Simply Good, and King Soopers invite the community to a special cookbook signing event featuring Club families who contributed recipes to the new Spark & Spoon Family Cookbook. The event will take place on April 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at King Soopers, 4600 Leetsdale Dr, Glendale, CO.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The cookbook signing is the latest initiative from the transformative Spark & Spoon Project, a multi-year partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and Simply Good Foods aimed at addressing food insecurity, childhood obesity, and lack of nutrition education among Club families. King Soopers has joined this effort as a key retail partner, supporting the initiative by distributing the cookbook across select locations throughout Metro Denver.<\/p>\n

Families from Boston Boys & Girls Club in Aurora will be present to sign copies of the cookbook, share their culinary traditions, and connect with community members. Attendees will enjoy samples of selected recipes prepared by Simply Good Foods, showcasing the diverse and delicious dishes featured in the cookbook.<\/p>\n

\"The Spark & Spoon Family Cookbook represents more than just recipes \u2013 it celebrates the cultural diversity of our Club families and their shared traditions around food,\" said Erin Porteous, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. \"This cookbook brings communities together while supporting essential programs that help kids across Metro Denver lead healthier lives.\"<\/p>\n

The cookbook, priced at $20, will be available for purchase at select King Soopers locations<\/a>, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver's nutrition and healthy lifestyle programming.<\/p>\n
