Recognizing the urgent need for affordable youth services in Commerce City, Suncor played a crucial role in launching Boys &amp; Girls Club programming at Kearney Middle School in 2007. As demand for services grew, Suncor\u2019s commitment deepened, leading the charge in a capital campaign to build the standalone Suncor Boys &amp; Girls Club, which opened in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Suncor representatives joined us to celebrate the grand opening of the Pat Bowlen Field at the Suncor Youth Development Park. This turf field, located next to the Suncor Boys &amp; Girls Club, enables us to further engage youth in various sports and outdoor activities. It also helps alleviate pressure on other Boys &amp; Girls Club fields across Denver, giving Commerce City kids a space to compete and thrive within their community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Club helped me realize that the people I surround myself with can help me achieve my goals and become my true self,\u201d shared 14-year-old Club member Noemi.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Suchand, Suncor\u2019s General Manager of Operations, USA, has been a champion of Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. \u201cThrough our longstanding partnership, we\u2019ve seen first-hand the life-changing impact the Club has on Denver\u2019s kids. Suncor is honored for the opportunity to connect our strengths with Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Metro Denver to ensure kids in our community can realize their potential to change the world,\u201d said Suchand.
