Johnson Members Learn Healthy Habits with Fall Into Health Week

Recently, our Arthur E. Johnson Branch celebrated Fall into Health Week! All week long, our Health & Life Skills Specialists planned special activities for Club members to participate in. From a dodgeball tournament to a health carnival, kids were active, learned new skills, and expanded their knowledge of what it means to live a healthy lifestyle.

Other activities included a viewing of Food Inc. – the 2008 documentary film directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Kenner – created fruit stamps, painted a board while dancing with their feet, learned yoga, and played health jeopardy. The week concluded with an Iron Chef celebration where members learned to make healthy foods from fresh ingredient! Thanks to volunteers from McAfee for making the event a success!

It was a busy week but very fun, educational, and healthy! Almost 90 kids of all ages participated in the week’s events.
